Buying WoW Forever Hardcore gold
Hardcore gives every character a single life. One mistake at a bad moment ends the run, which makes Hardcore players careful, slow and very interested in anything that keeps them alive. On the beta the seller already lists Hardcore gold for both factions, priced per coin like every other tab.
To buy WoW Forever Hardcore gold, choose the faction of the character who will carry it, set the amount in the withdraw window and check the total before opening the offer.
When Hardcore opens on the live game
The live game opens on November 4 with Normal, PvP and Roleplay. Blizzard has said Hardcore follows some time this winter and has not named a date. Until then, the Hardcore gold on sale is beta gold, and the beta closes on October 21.
When the live Hardcore ruleset opens, offers for it will appear in this tab as soon as the seller lists them.
What a one-life character spends gold on
Survival comes first: healing potions, bandages, food that restores health quickly, and items that get you out of a fight that is going wrong. After that come armor and weapons bought rather than waited for, because every level spent under-geared is a risk.
Bags matter more than usual, since a Hardcore character carries spares of everything. Riding is a safety purchase as much as a convenience: the faster you can leave a zone, the fewer fights you are forced into.
If your character dies
Blizzard's plan, as described at the BlizzCon Deep Dive, is that a fallen Hardcore character can move to Normal or PvP once the mode is live, and it takes what it carries. Gold bought for a run is therefore not wiped by a single death; it travels with the character to a world where death is no longer final.
Some details are still open: whether a character that left Hardcore can ever go back, whether the transfer costs anything, and which winter day the mode opens. This page will change when Blizzard settles them.
Choosing a faction for Hardcore gold
Hardcore lets an account keep characters on both factions, unlike PvP. Gold still moves only within one faction, so each Hardcore character needs an offer on its own side, and the withdraw window lists both.
If you run several one-life characters, order for the one that needs the gold now rather than spreading coin across all of them. A safe, small top-up for the character in front of you is worth more than a reserve that may die with someone else.
Receiving gold without risking the run
On Hardcore, mail is the safe choice. The seller posts the coin and you collect it at a mailbox in a city, with no travel through dangerous zones and no waiting in the open. If you trade face to face, accept the party invite so you share a layer and meet somewhere guarded.
Never hand over your login, and weigh the account risk as well as the character risk: buying gold for real money breaks Blizzard's license agreement on Hardcore like everywhere else, and accounts that do it can be penalized.
Hardcore gold questions
When does Hardcore open on the live game?
Some time this winter, after launch. Forever opens on November 4 with Normal, PvP and Roleplay only; Blizzard has not put a date on Hardcore yet.
Does Hardcore beta gold carry over to launch?
No. Nothing from the beta moves into the live game, one-life characters and their gold included.
What does Hardcore gold get spent on?
Mostly on not dying: healing potions, better armor, and bags big enough to carry spares of both.
Is mail or trade safer on Hardcore?
Mail. You collect the gold at a city mailbox without travelling anywhere dangerous. A trade is fine too, as long as you meet inside a city after accepting the seller's party invite.
